"You Probably Think This Story's About You" Podcast Premieres: Love & Betrayal
Also, Health Hacks podcast debuts.
Dating is hard; dating apps are harder! Finding love is scary; finding love after 40 is scarier! In the new Larj Media podcast, You Probably Think This Story's About You, hosted by Brittani Ard, takes listeners on a gripping journey through the eyes of women whose lives were forever altered by one man's deceit.
You Probably Think This Story's About You is an exploration of love, betrayal, and the far-reaching consequences of one man's deceit told through the eyes of the women whose lives were irrevocably changed by it.
Brittani Ard is on a quest for the truth. She wants to understand how Kanon — the man she once believed to be her soulmate — could have deceived her so deeply. As the devastating revelations unfold, exposing the depths of his lies, Brittani embarks on a journey to uncover the truth.
The road to understanding is paved with Brittani’s complex childhood, marked by addiction, sisterhood, and the deep family ties that shaped her. But there’s one question left: who is this story really about?
One thing's for sure – it's not him anymore.
At the heart of the narrative lies Brittani's own quest for truth, as she grapples with the shocking realization of how deeply she was betrayed. Through poignant storytelling and introspective exploration, Britt delves into her own complex childhood, marked by addiction, sisterhood, and the profound family ties that shaped her identity.
Brittani Ard is a multifaceted individual whose diverse talents and passions have led her on a remarkable journey. As a builder, land use consultant, and architect, she brings creativity and expertise to every project she undertakes.
As a devoted mother of 5 (+1 bonus kid) and daughter, Brittani Ard cherishes the moments spent with her family, fostering strong bonds and creating lasting memories. Her commitment to nurturing relationships extends beyond her immediate family.
Embarked on this new podcast venture, Ard aims to share insights, stories, and conversations that inspire and empower others to pursue their passions and live authentically. Having overcome their own personal struggles and challenges, she brings a unique blend of empathy and wisdom to her life. She believes that healing is not just about addressing physical ailments or emotional wounds, but about embracing the journey of self-awareness and empowerment.
When asked about why she is telling her story now, Britt shares, “I used to be the type of woman that didn’t ask for help out of fear of looking vulnerable or weak. Now I know that being vulnerable is the most courageous thing I can do. I’m human, and I deserve to be cared for and loved in the same way I care for and love others. It has been truly amazing to see who in my life embraced this version of me and who stopped being a part of my life once I required them to fill my cup and not just drain it. It’s scary and lonely sometimes, but I would never go back.”
With each episode, Ard's powerful storytelling weaves a tapestry of resilience, empowerment, and the unwavering strength of the human spirit; including stories about her childhood spent protecting her younger sister from their mother's addiction, her experience becoming a mother at a young age, and the heartbreaking loss of her sister.
These flashbacks are woven into the present-day narrative.
I listened to the first episode, and it is not your typical gaslighting story. The episode patiently crafts its narrative, introducing Kanon, and Brittani Ard's family and friends. Drama builds slowly, and Ard's narrative skills are self-evident as she leads listeners to the climactic ending of the first episode.

New Wellness Podcast Health Hacks Debuts
Health and wellness podcasts are more numerous than the health hacks passed out like candy by health and wellness podcasters on their shows.
Despite the health and wellness podcast traffic jam, OpenMind has announced Health Hacks, a new original video podcast powered by PAVE Studios that launched on Tuesday, June 11.
Hosted by fifteen-time New York Times best-selling author Mark Hyman, MD, each episode will explore the art of living well as the leading Systems Medicine expert shares his unique perspectives on the latest health trends and their impact on our well-being. “Health Hacks” will deliver science-backed facts, break down myths and misinformation, and provide you with the tools you need to live a longer, healthier life.
New episodes will be available every Tuesday across all podcast platforms and YouTube.
On Monday, June 10th, OpenMind also launched OpenMind+, a new subscription available on Apple Podcasts. The channel will offer ad-free versions of all OpenMind shows including Health Hacks and Soothing Sleep. In addition, OpenMind+ will feature a new exclusive weekly series launching today, Mini Meditations, a series that will also explore a variety of techniques to promote stress relief and mental wellness — from breath counting, to mindfulness, to calm visualizations.
“We're dedicated to building more than just a studio — we want to make OpenMind a vibrant and dynamic global community where individuals can explore, learn, and connect with a diverse range of purpose-driven creators and experts,” said Max Cutler, Founder of PAVE Studios. “This is the first step as we move towards offering an array of content to audiences, from original series to live experiences and beyond. Our vision is to create a multidimensional brand where wellness thrives, and individuals are inspired and empowered to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.”
Max Cutler has a podcasting history worthy of a Bravo reality TV show.
Cutler created Parcast in 2016, and under his leadership, Parcast became a powerhouse in the podcasting industry, introducing a range of immensely popular weekly shows across various genres and played a pivotal role in expanding podcasting internationally, overseeing the creation of 140+ adaptations in eight different languages. After three years of exponential growth, Spotify acquired Parcast in 2019 for a price close to $100 million.
Cutler most recently served as Spotify's VP, Head of Creator Content & Partnerships, where he headed the global team responsible for identifying, recruiting and overseeing creators on the platform, including Joe Rogan (The Joe Rogan Experience), Alex Cooper (Call Her Daddy), Emma Chamberlain (Anything Goes), and Dax Shepard (Armchair Expert).
In February 2023, Cutler resigned from Spotify. A few months later, in June 2023, Spotify closed Parcast during its retrenchment from podcast ambitions.
Max Cutler then founded PAVE Studios with the marketing pitch: "The recently launched media company is building a unique ecosystem of genre-specific studios and working alongside the top creators to unveil an array of fresh content across video, audio, books, live experiences, merchandise and more. This is creators, content, and community coming together, paving the way for a new era in media."
