I love short-form podcasts. You can listen to a lot of them in a short period of time and learn a lot, or just be entertained. Some podcasts drag on for over an hour to two hours. Have they ever heard of the EDIT button? I can listen to these short-form podcasts while I'm making coffee, or toasting my Dave's killer whole-grains and seeds bread, or even brushing my teeth, which done right should take about two minutes. (Note: I learned that from a short-form podcast.)
I think you may be on the right track. More frequency and shorter shows seem to generate more listeners and listener loyalty. Did Ms. Knox Lee ever contact you?
Thank you so much for your kind words, Frank! The Kids Ask Dr. Friendtastic podcast is my favorite work activity! The kids' voices are adorable, and their questions are poignant, honest, and deep! From a podcaster's point of view, it's also a fun challenge to see if I can say something practical and thought provoking in 5 minutes. (Sometimes I cheat and go a bit longer.)
The number one reaction I get from grown-ups to both the podcast and my books is, "This applies to adults, too!" Absolutely! We're all still learning about building strong and caring relationships.
Thanks so much for the inclusion, Frank, really appreciated! And I know Arielle and Ned's show, it's in my listening library, but will be checking the others out, for sure, especially Eileen's, being a dad of two kids myself. :)
Thanks for these Frank! I like Arielle and Ned’s and of course Dans. We’re new to Eileen and just started listen g in recently when Seraphjna featured the podcast over in her interview series
We’re reconsidering making Seraphjna Speaks short form. It’s such a powerful format.
Danny, you are a terrific resource for podcasters.
