The point about many (all?) of these podcasters already having an audience can't be stated enough. Indie podcasters are building everything from scratch, doing all the work unpaid (usually, at least to start with) and as such are right at the forefront of what issues there are. An article that talks about the problem of discoverability, and then only showcases large audience podcasters and talent who already had that discoverability, kinda enforces that issue. :)
